Answers to Q&A
Why did you want to become a model?
I wanted to become a model because I really enjoy the creative aspects of editorials and creative shoots. Collaborating with different photographers, stylists and make-up artists from all around the world is a real privilege. It’s so inspiring to see how much thought and passion goes into making each image.
What makes you special?
I believe what makes me special is the diversity in my interests and passions. I’m a painter and visual artist. I also love cooking, and doing physical activities like hiking and yoga. I believe all of these things help me to be a better model as well. I feel that as my interests and hobbies are very open and creative, this allows me to see modelling through different lenses and bring my own perspective to the projects I’ve been a part of.
What are you passionate about?
My foremost passion is traveling. Experiencing different cultures and countries through my work has been an amazing opportunity. I’m passionate about art in all forms, for its beauty, the way it can bring people together, and evoke emotion and thought. Alongside modelling, I’m also pursuing being a professional artist, and I have aspirations of making music in the future as well as visual art.
Describe your dream photoshoot:
My dream photoshoot would definitely be in a stunning outdoor location, somewhere like the Sahara desert or a beach in South Asia. It would be an edgy editorial vibe and I’d get to work with a very talented team, people I’ve been inspired by since I first started in the industry. Maybe working with one of my current favourite photographers, like Rafael Pavarotti or Leslie Zhang JiaCheng.
If you could give an aspiring model any advice, what would it be?
My advice would be: don’t compare yourself to others, and be patient. Don’t get too discouraged over missed opportunities, because there will always be more waiting for you around the corner.
