Answers to Q&A
What inspired you to become a model?
I was drawn to modeling because it’s where I feel my most confident and empowered. Before getting signed to my current agency, I was a freelance model in Montreal, previously signed to an agency in Ottawa, where I met my current agent. Freelancing allowed me to connect with many creative minds and confirmed my path. My agent and I bonded over coffee, and after meeting the agency owner, I was signed. My current agency is full of beautiful and kind-hearted people.
What are you most excited about when it comes to modeling?
What excites me most is embodying different personas and telling stories through images. Each shoot is a chance to learn and grow, not just from photographers and creative directors, but also from other models. It allows me to push my boundaries and explore different facets of my personality, which is thrilling.
Can you share with us some advice you have for models wanting to get into the industry?
My biggest advice is to stay true to yourself and be persistent. The industry has its challenges, but it’s important to honour your craft, learn from others, and be your biggest cheerleader. Always be professional, respectful, and kind. Networking with photographers, makeup artists, and other models is crucial. Also, take care of your mental and physical health—Pilates and reading have been great for me.
Share a fun fact about yourself!
A fun fact about me is that I volunteer at a shelter for survivors of abuse. Tapping into my passion for psychology has been incredibly rewarding, teaching me so much about resilience and compassion.
