Answers to Q&A

Why did you want to become a model?

I have always had an interest in the fashion world and industry. When I was younger I noticed myself slowly starting to find an interest in models and the lives they live and eventually started following some famous supermodels, but I never saw that life for myself originally. I was scouted when I was 15 years old and was shocked when I was asked to model and sign with an agency. Immediately after that my interests in modelling grew and I eventually found myself studying the history of fashion and deep diving into the lives of past supermodels in my spare time. The more experience I had in modelling each year, the more passionate I became. 7 years later I am still here doing what I love and I hope it continues for the years to come.

What makes you special?

This is a hard question, but I would like to think my personality makes me special. I always try to be my authentic self and the most positive person I can be. I think life’s to short to whine and complain about everything so I like to try to be as happy and uplifting as I can. Of course there are times in life where you can’t give that but you’ll never know if you don’t try. If you show up and have a positive energy, people will feel that and give it back and I think it’s really special when someone can try their best to bring light to any situation.

What are you passionate about?

Not to have a stereotypical answer, but I am very passionate about modelling. My whole life I have dreamt of traveling the world and experiencing unique opportunities as well as meeting a wide range of people who share my passions and can bring new interests to the table. Modelling and the fashion world includes all those thing and more, I am very lucky to be apart of it and live out the dreams I had as a kid.

If you could give an aspiring model any advice, what would it be?

Patience. Patience is going to be your best friend in this industry. There are gonna be many times in your modelling career where you feel like you are not moving as fast as you wish you were, but having patience and not rushing your career will really help you out. Take your time and work hard, do anything that can help yourself in this world (social media, networking, build your brand...etc). You don’t make it overnight in this industry, but with some patience and hard work your chances are way higher. As well as the amount of waiting a model has to do on set and in many other situations, patience will be your best friend.

How did you become a model?

In 2016 I was a pubescent 15 years old teenage boy with a mouthful of braces, and a full face of acne. I was casually out with my friends shopping at the downtown mall in August at Urban Outfitters and found myself being approached by a man. Usually this would startle me, but quickly he handed me his card and asked if I have ever modelled before, I thought it was a prank right away. He told me to talk with my parents and give him a call if I have any interest. When I came home still In shock of what had happened, I told my mom and she also thought it was a joke. We did some research and realize it was real and legit. We thought I should just give it a shot and set up a meeting with the agency. The agency visit went great and I loved the whole team and they gave me confidence in actually pursuing a modelling career with the potential they saw in me. I signed right after that meeting and I am still with them to this day.
