Answers to Q&A

Why did you want to become a model?

I became a model because as a young person in a very small town I was obsessed with the fantasy of fashion and self expression, I didn’t want to fit in i wanted to disrupt. I started diving into fashion magazines as escapism in the golden time of models the 90’s  and early 2000’s I started wanting to get into create, and to align myself with creative people the only way I knew how at the time.

What makes you special?

In terms of modelling you don’t really want to be special you want to fit the clothes or be an archetype or quintessential. Regardless,  what I think makes me special is my relentless need to be myself and express while simultaneously being able to transform into whatever is needed. I’m able to be myself and still a chameleon. I think that’s what makes me special. My perspective and my experience.

I also want to add in someone I truly admire in this industry, my manager Peggi,  I’ve never seen someone navigate this industry with such honesty and grace while still staying completely true to themselves.

what are you passionate about?

I’m passionate about the planet, about all peoples and the possibilities we all possess in making this world a better place than when we came into it. And that even comes into my choices around how I consume and participate in fashion.

Who is your favourite model?

My favourite model is Kate moss, if I were to have a drag name it would be Kate mess. I have always styled and dressed myself with her level of freedom and self assured confidence. I also try to move through like with one of her concepts, never complain never explain.

Describe your dream photoshoot.

My dream photoshoot would be a large campaign with David Lachapelle whom is one of my favourite photographers. Large scale sets, hyper camp aesthetic and a queer creator who has worked with every celebrity and model ever.
