Answers to Q&A
What INSPIRED you to become a model?
My path into modeling was unexpected, to say the least. It all began in Serbia when I was scouted—through my mom’s TikTok account, of all places. The opportunity felt like a dream, and I was determined to make it a reality. That determination eventually led me back to my home city Toronto, where I fully committed to pursuing my modeling career.
What are you most excited about when it comes to modeling?
The most exciting part of modeling for me is the thrill of possibility, the idea that I could be walking the runway for iconic fashion houses or representing global brands. There’s something exciting about stepping into high fashion, learning to carry myself with more confidence, and embracing a style that makes a statement.
But what really fuels my excitement? Knowing that I was chosen. With every opportunity, I’m reminded that out of so many talented individuals, someone saw something unique in me, something that could bring their vision to life. That feeling... is unmatched.
Can you share with us some advice you have for models wanting to get into the industry?
Confidence is everything. The modeling industry can be tough, there will always be people who try to tell you “no,” but you can’t let that break you. Instead, focus on the ones who support you, believe in yourself, and keep pushing forward. Perfect your runway walk, practice until it feels like second nature. Learn to speak highly of yourself. If you don’t believe in your own potential, why should anyone else? Prioritize self-care. You never know when or where an opportunity will come, so always show up and show out! Modeling isn’t just about looking the part, it’s about owning it. Walk in like you belong, because you do.
share a fun fact about yourself!
I’m full of fun facts! I speak fluent Serbian after living in Serbia for three years, where I wasn’t just learning the language, I was fully immersed in the culture, playing high-level soccer, and embracing every part of the experience. But sports have always been a big part of who I am. Whether it’s basketball, soccer, or even skateboarding, I love the rush of competition and pushing my limits. And if that wasn’t enough of a mix, my heritage is just as diverse, Swedish, Jamaican, and Filipino. I’d say that’s a pretty cool combination, right?
