Answers to Q&A
Why did you want to become a model?
I have always been fascinated by history and human geography. In the way we have developed countless unique cultures and identities wherever we went. My interest in modelling came when I learned I could be part of that modern expression of clothing and culture. My travel bucket list is long and to be able to see new sights and meet creative people while working in the industry is a dream of mine.
What makes you special?
What makes me special is that I have an interesting blend of nationality in my background, which, at times, has made me feel like I didn't fit neatly into a box. I am learning to love my mix, and I think that I offer an ambiguous look that can both fit in and stand out, wherever I travel. I am adaptable to change and would love to continue challenging myself creatively. All that, and a sharp set of eyebrows.
What are you passionate about?
The older I get, the longer my list of passions grows. Currently, I am on the hunt for unique furniture and art for my first apartment to make it as cozy and homey as possible. However, nature will always be my main passion as I aim to get my Masters in biology. I have always been outdoorsy, and I am continually eager to learn new things about the natural world and the monumental task of protecting life on this planet.
Who is someone you admire and why?
I had the opportunity to meet Jane Goodall while working in tree planting up north. She is an amazing and incredibly nice person, her career and impact on conservation have been immense and inspiring to me. Working collaboratively with her team and the filmmakers of her latest documentary was an unforgettable experience.
One thing people may be surprised to find out about you.
If you have read this far you might not find it surprising that I have a zoology degree. Clearly, nature and animals have my heart, which is why I chose the mild torture of getting through university. Now, using this degree is the next adventure, which to you and I, dear reader, will be a surprise to both of us.
