Answers to Q&A
Why did you want to become a model?
I initially wanted to become an actor but later found out that the two industries overlap in more ways than one! Now I find that I enjoy modeling more for the artistic aspects. Everyone has their own creative vision, and working with different clients allows me to be part of and learn from their process. To me, it’s both interesting and inspirational! Someday I’d like to reflect my own artistic expression and identity in one way or another, and modeling gives me the opportunity to learn directly from the source.
What makes you special?
I believe that my ability to adapt and embrace change sets me apart. I understand that life is full of unexpected twists and turns, oftentimes leading to negative situations. I approach these moments with an open mindset and see them as chances to grow and learn more about myself. I am not afraid to challenge myself and take on new opportunities, failure is still a success if you learn something from it!
What are you passionate about?
Currently, bread making! I recently thrifted a bread maker and now I’ve entered a baking phase in my life. I’m fairly confident in my ciabatta buns and focaccia, working on just about everything else… Otherwise I enjoy anything and everything outside. Growing up in Canada, I’ve been lucky to have the wilderness right in my backyard and so things like backpacking, hiking, camping, etc. are second nature to me!
Your most embarrassing moment?
Mistaking a man in the airport for Jude Law and having his wife take photos of us until he corrected me.
If you could give an aspiring model any advice, what would it be?
Don’t be the best, be the only!
