Answers to Q&A
Why did you want to become a model?
From the time I was a little girl I have always had an interest in the fashion industry. I loved flipping through the pages of my mom’s magazines, and was always dressing up in heels and the fanciest clothes I could find around the house. My mom was always surprised at how well I could walk in heels from a young age! After I was scouted at the age of fifteen I thought modelling would be a great opportunity to meet new people, travel, and learn more about the fashion industry. I also considered that modelling could help build my self confidence.
What makes you special?
Something that makes me special is that I lead/ make decisions from my heart. I always listen to my inner guidance and I choose my own path forward based on my own desires, and intuition despite what others might be doing or thinking. I believe we are all special in our own unique ways, and my hope is that everyone can see how our differences make us all uniquely special if we take time to look beyond the exterior.
What are you passionate about?
I am very passionate about creating art and sharing it with others. Creating art is extremely therapeutic and it is a great way for me to express myself. I also love anything outdoors. Fishing, camping, surfing, hiking…. Count me in! My family is another thing I am passionate about, they give me so much love & support. I am thankful for each and every one of them.
What is one thing you never want to do again?
One thing I never want to do again would be track & field hurdles… I’m not sure what overcame me in high school but I thought it would be fun to try, and with my long legs I just assumed I would naturally get the hang of it. As it turns out that was not the case… such a crazy sport, the bruises were brutal!
How did you become a model?
I was scouted by my agent (Dayna Houston - HOUS Management) when I was fifteen at a hair salon in the small town I grew up in. Dayna mentioned to my mom that modelling could be a good opportunity for me. We had lots of questions at first, but Dayna was patient and very forthcoming with all of the information she provided. She was right, it has proven to be a great experience. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time!
